In general, a passkey is a unique cryptographic key to be used for authentication purposes. It's an added layer of authentication to secure your account in a way that is faster, easier, and more secure than traditional methods.

For Due Web App and Superlite, your passkeys serve as

  • your authentication to sign-in and link your account across different devices, and

  • your authorisation to sign and make transactions from your account.

For your passkey, you have the option to use:

  1. your smartphone,

  2. your Google or browser account (e.g. Chrome profile),

  3. a USB key, or

  4. another device you've authenticated previously, if any.

You can add and manage your passkeys anytime from your Settings, by heading to [Credentials] or [Security] โ†’ [Wallet keys].

Pro tip: we suggest setting up at least two passkeys, in case you lose access to one of them.
